Link male

2018-02-11

Location: Florida

Link; aka Slinky Linky, Binky Link, Missing Link, and also Rinky Dinky Linky. Link needs a calm environment without a lot of change. He is distressed with visitors and commotion. A boring household would suit him just fine. Link loves his crate and collects his toys there until there’s no room for Linky. When his foster family is gone, this little boy can be loose in the house or closed in his crate - he is good either way. Link is not a fan of going for a walk. If you absolutely must go walkies, having another dog to walk with helps a lot, and walking within sight of his house gives him security; he’s a homebody. Riding in a car translates as doomsday: Link is a trembling bundle of nerves. He likes well-grounded dogs to hang with, but he also respects the bossy female Rattie who is his foster sister. Link is not interested in the cats to play with or chase. At night you will find him under the covers, where he snuggles and sleeps the whole night; Linky is highly tolerant of his bed partners tossing and turning (and the cat walking on top of the blanket). He loves his doggy door and back yard. Link runs out the door with a toy, then trades it for a stick. He shows an interest in lizards and squirrels with his Spaniel pal - but Link is not a hunter. He has very good recall from the “back 40”. Linky is a good eater, and loves his fruit and veggies. In the evening he can be found sharing a snack and a good book with Foster Dad. Affectionate and liberal with his kisses, little Link is a wonderful companion! Snuggles with his person is his idea of bliss.

Genesis female

2022-09-24

Location: Florida

Meet Genesis! Genesis (aka Genny) was surrendered to us recently, unspayed, with a mouth full of rotten teeth. She is 7 years old and just under 10 pounds. Genny is used to being the only pet in the home, and does not appreciate dogs (or cats) near her. Genny was spayed, and lost many teeth due to the decay and infections in her mouth. 1 or 2 dentals in her lifetime would have made a WORLD of difference. Genny has been updated on her vaccines and started on heartworm preventative. She will need a home with patient and experienced adopters: people who will give her time and space to settle in. Genny would do best in a home with no other pets.

Roscoe male

2021-03-22

Adopted!

CongRATs to Roscoe and the Ridgeway family!

Location: Florida

Cute and always in motion, Roscoe is 1 to 2 years old. He came from a not great living situation: he and many others were loose at a plant nursery, and the male workers constantly tried to "shoo" the dogs away. Roscoe seems to be most comfortable with women, but his best love in life is FOOD, so that will help to win him over. He will need time to adjust to a new family. Roscoe doesn't like to be picked up unless he has bonded with (ie: trust) you. He isn't a biter, but he will panic and try to "alligator roll" if he doesn't trust & love you. Roscoe doesn't seem incredibly fond of some big dogs, but is getting better with time and patience. He is now crate trained. Roscoe's future family should understand that he came into rescue semi-feral, and really needs time to love and trust. A person/family with experience at winning a dog over would the be best option for Roscoe. His front legs are bowed, but he runs and jumps just fine. He is more than just a pretty face; he needs a special home. Roscoe barks at cats sometimes, and will give chase if they run, but he can also coexist if the cats are dog-experienced, and can ignore him.
