Seniors for Seniors Candidate
Sally is a 10 year old sweet and gentle soul. Her owner had dementia and the family wasn't able to take her into their homes. She came into rescue 1/27/24, and is now the boss of her foster home. LOL! We had to update her vaccines, as she hadn't been to a vet in 3 years. Sally desperately needed a dental, and we took care of that as well. She had pretty bad periodontal disease, as she hadn't seen a vet since 2020 (according to the family). Sally is 9.6 pounds, and loves to have a teaspoon of canned food added to her senior diet. She WILL remind you of meal times! Sally is good with cats, and coexists with dogs, but wants to let everyone know SHE is in charge! Sally is fostered in South Florida.

Meet Avery, a very gorgeous young lady. Avery is 1 year old and wasn't very socialized as a youngster. She used to get overwhelmed very easily but has learned to bounce back quickly. She would do best in a calm, quiet home where someone works from home. She needs a little more help with potty manners, but what she lacks in perfect potty habits she makes up for in affection and sheer beauty. She is energetic, loves other dogs and is very athletic. She is extremely fast on her feet. She is good with both dogs and cats, kids unknown.

Colt

A few months ago, Colt's owner tied him to a fence and walked away. Poor Colt was so confused when we met him and we took our time letting him settle in. Colt is good with cats and most small to medium sized dogs. He just needs time to get used to new canine pals. He is crate trained, loves to pile up toys and likes gentle pets. He is a slender, longer legged fella, around 16 pounds. He is about 1 year old. Colt is not comfortable around large breeds. He has not been around kids.

Niles

Niles is about 10 months old, and a small, silly boy. He was born in rescue, as his mom was surrendered to a shelter very pregnant. Niles is very shy with new people, so he needs a patient adopter. He would be happiest with an outgoing dog pal. Niles is good with both dogs and cats. He is a small dude of about 7 pounds.
Niles' mom is Nilla, who is also available for adoption. His uncle Nico is also available for adoption, as well as his cousin Neo.

Baxter

Baxter was surrendered to us on 01/01/2024. His owner passed away and the family took him to be euthanized because he had some medical issues and arthritis, and they had a small child. The vet refused, and rescues were contacted. We were the only rescue out of 15 that said YES to help Baxter. Baxter is about 16 pounds. He is almost fully housebroken. He is low key, but LOVES walks. He likes comfy large dog beds. He can be cuddly at times, other times he wants his space. He is okay with cats and gentle dogs. Baxter hates baths and will yowl, yowl, yowl - but he tries to keep himself super clean to avoid the mental anguish of a bath (his words, not mine!). Baxter is looking for a retirement home with lots of love, walkies and the occasional scrambled egg added in to his diet.
