Mila Darling was surrendered to Ratbone Rescues by a Texas vet. Mila's owners didn't have the funds to pay to have her badly damaged leg repaired. It turns out she had torn all the ligaments in her right knee. So they surrendered her to the vet, who contacted Ratbone. Mila was born in December 2021. She came into rescue on February 13, 2022. Mila weighs around 22 pounds. She is quick and energetic, and very sweet. Mila gets along with all the other dogs in her foster home - though she can be a bit overwhelming for the older dogs. She is fostering in central Oklahoma, and would love to be adopted by a family that has at least one "stay at home" member. Mila sleeps in a crate (quietly - unless she needs to potty or is left completely alone), but would probably love to share a family member's bed. As long as her foster family pays attention to her signals, she is housebroken. Mila has had her knee repaired, and she's as fast as a rocket when doing zoomies around the yard. Her fostermom thinks Mila might even do well at agility or lure coursing - with some obedience and leash training. She is great with dogs she knows, but will need time to get to know a new housemate. Cats are no problem for Mila, as long as they don't mind an energetic girl occasionally inviting them to play. She has not been around kids. If you are looking for a life-long, loving companion, please apply for Mila Darling.
